HOT PEPPERS
Spicy Whiskey Paloma
A bold, peppery twist on a whiskey highball.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz True Story Bourbon
- 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 1/2 oz lime juice
- 1/2 oz hot pepper agave syrup (see below)
- Sparkling water
- Jalapeño slice or chili salt rim (optional)
Jalapeño Agave Syrup:
- 1/2 cup agave nectar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 sliced hot pepper
Simmer gently, steep for 15 minutes, strain and cool.
Instructions:
- Combine whiskey, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and jalapeño syrup in a shaker with ice.
- Shake and strain into a highball glass over fresh ice.
- Top with sparkling water.
- Garnish with a jalapeño slice or rim the glass with chili salt.
