HOT PEPPERS

Spicy Whiskey Paloma

A bold, peppery twist on a whiskey highball.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz True Story Bourbon
  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 1/2 oz hot pepper agave syrup (see below)
  • Sparkling water
  • Jalapeño slice or chili salt rim (optional)

Jalapeño Agave Syrup:

  • 1/2 cup agave nectar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 sliced hot pepper
    Simmer gently, steep for 15 minutes, strain and cool.

Instructions:

  1. Combine whiskey, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and jalapeño syrup in a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake and strain into a highball glass over fresh ice.
  3. Top with sparkling water.
  4. Garnish with a jalapeño slice or rim the glass with chili salt.
